Local Blogs Featured in Local Paper

When Dean from the Falls Church News Press contacted me a couple weeks ago about an article he was working on about Falls Church bloggers, I was flattered and somewhat surprised.  This little blog wasn’t started very long ago and — I’m strong enough to admit it — hasn’t been kept up to date as much as I’d like (case in point: the article came out almost a week ago, and I’m just now posting here!).

The interview, which felt like more of a conversation about the state of community communication and the role the web will play in our future as a city.  I enjoyed it, and I thought the article was well done.  In addition to FCI, Dean covered the Falls Church Times and local heavyweight Blueweeds.

As Residents Seek Voice in Community Discussions, Blogs Are Becoming the Means to an End

In the few times I’ve had the honor of being interviewed by the press I always make the same mistake: I talk too long and give some all-to-honest sound bites.  My co-blogger (?) / brother Andy immediately poked fun at my statement that this blog “has no overarching strategy.”  Perhaps that should be a goal for this new year.
