As part of my volunteer work with the Falls Church Cable Access Board, I helped setup for the annual Santa TV Shoot this past Saturday.  It’s a tradition, I’ve learned, as part of Falls Church’s annual Holiday Crafts Show to put together a holiday themed set and have Santa chat with the kids.  Part of the charm is that the kids get to be on TV, and a DVD is created on the spot for parents to cherish for a lifetime.

The rest of the FCC-TV team had everything under control, so once I helped hang the curtains I spent my time taking some photos of the setup process.  If you’re interested in what goes on behind the scenes … enjoy! 

I wasn’t able to stay for the full day, but as I understand it there weren’t as many kids there as we would have liked, attributed to limited promotion.  We need to do more to get the word out about events like this — more on that later.
